Amax Manufacturing Inc. is a family-owned and operated plastic injection molding company located in Foley, Minnesota. With a rich history dating back to the 1950s, Adam's grandfather initially established the business as a blacksmith shop. Later on, Adam's uncle took charge and successfully transitioned it into plastic injection molding. In 2023, Adam and his wife Candice became the proud owners of Amax Manufacturing Inc. The Lewandowski blacksmith shop was renowned as the 'top blacksmith shop in Central Minnesota', and AMAX Manufacturing is committed to upholding that prestigious reputation in the field of injection molding. With their dedication to quality and innovation, Amax Manufacturing continues to deliver exceptional products and services to their customers.

Adam Kantor

The AMAX Family

Adam is a highly qualified individual with a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. With a passion for his field, he dedicated three years after graduation to designing and testing electro-hydraulic control systems for paving equipment. However, Adam's expertise doesn't stop there. For the past ten years, he has been an invaluable program manager in the powertrain division of a US powersports company. During this time, he played a crucial role in supporting the successful launch of numerous vehicles. Adam's most recent accomplishment is earning his ANSI/ASTM E2659 Accredited Certificate in the Molding 2 program at the American Injection Molding Institute. In his leisure time, Adam loves to embrace the great outdoors, indulging in activities such as fishing and off-road riding. Additionally, he enjoys working on vehicles, proving that his passion for engineering extends beyond the professional realm.

Candice Kantor

Candice has an impressive background in both manufacturing and engineering. After spending two summers working on plastic injection molding, she pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. For almost a decade, she dedicated her skills to stormwater design, project management, permitting, and grant applications. Candice's passion for environmental preservation led her to serve as a member and president of the Sunrise River Watershed Management Organization board. Currently, she holds a position as the front office manager at Amax Manufacturing. She also stays involved in the local community by serving as a member of the City of Foley Planning Commission. Outside of work, Candice finds joy in various hobbies such as sewing, gardening, and photography. With her diverse skill set and dedication to her interests, she brings a unique perspective to both her professional and personal life.

Family

Adam and Candice have three children: AJ, Andrew, and Addison. They enjoy being outside, especially riding dirt bikes (even on the ice), camping, and hiking.
